Hope!

Hope.
I hate hope. It is the malevolent leash that tethers us to our own misery,
A flicker that brings us to change ends we refuse to accept. A venomous, vaporous byproduct of blind and belligerent emotions. An illusion we cling to, desperately and near spiritually, engraved into our very being like so many others we choose not to deny.

I hate to hate hope, but i should learn, if i am to accept reality beneath its silky layer of fog, for there lies the inevitable thorns and depths that should surely end me.
Hope; it drags my feet forward and my heart with it, a crutch to itself.
Dare i leave this comfort and face my abyss, accept logic and reason?....
fear, fear takes me over.
Ah Hope, such warm, sweet and tender hope...
How i hope to hate hope.
